The Golden Ticket
Five tickets. Each one is good for a 4x5 portrait, drawn by me, of a part of you. Notes are read from 1 October through 1 November 2026. These are the terms.
Who runs this
The Golden Ticket is run by Magpie of the Likely Accident Foundry (the Etsy shop LikelyAccidents). It is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Linktree, Etsy, TikTok, Instagram or any other company.
No purchase necessary
You do not have to buy anything to take part. A purchase does not improve your chance of receiving a ticket, and no purchase is ever required to receive or redeem one.
Who can take part
Anyone 18 or older, anywhere this is lawful. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
How to take part
Send a note saying why you want a part of yourself drawn by me. You can send it through this form, in the note of an order from my Etsy shop, or as a message to me on Etsy, TikTok or Instagram. Every route is read the same and counts the same. One note per person is enough; a second note does not count twice.
How I choose
This is not a drawing and nothing is picked at random. I read every note and judge it on three things: how honest it is, how specific it is about the part of you that wants drawing, and whether I can see that part clearly enough to draw it. The notes that do those three things best are the ones chosen. Order of arrival, how much you have spent and how many followers you have play no part. My choice is final.
What a ticket is
Five tickets exist in all. The tickets are misprints of my own drawings, yellow and blue and glitchy, which is why they are golden. Each can be exchanged for one 4x5 inch portrait of one of the holder's own interior parts, drawn by hand by me. What the portrait looks like is my decision. A ticket has no cash value, cannot be sold or swapped for anything else, belongs only to the person it was given to, and is returned to me when it is redeemed. Approximate value of each portrait: 150 US dollars.
When
Notes are accepted from 1 October 2026 through 1 November 2026, ending at 11:59 pm Pacific time on the 1st of November. Notes that arrive after that are not considered. The five are chosen from the notes received in that time and their tickets are posted by 5 November 2026, to arrive by about 10 November; the post decides the exact day, and addresses outside the United States may take longer. When all five have gone out, I will say so publicly.
If you are chosen
You are not told. A Golden Ticket is posted to the mailing address you gave, and its arrival is the announcement. If you ordered a print and your note came with the order, the ticket may travel with your print. To redeem it, you post the ticket back to me, at the return address that comes with it, with whatever you want to tell me about the part of you I am drawing. Posting it back is at your cost. The ticket stays with me after that; the portrait is what you keep. I then draw the portrait and mail it to you at my cost, and may write to you by email while I work on it. I am aiming to have every portrait with its person by 25 December 2026. For that, the ticket needs to be back with me by 1 December 2026, which means posting it within about two weeks of it arriving. This is an aim and not a promise: the post decides the exact day, and a ticket that comes back after 1 December is still good, its portrait simply arrives after the holidays. A ticket that has not come back to me within 60 days of being posted is void and may be given to someone else.
What I may share
I may show the finished portrait publicly, as my own work, and say what first name or made up name it was drawn for. I will not publish your note, your address or anything else you tell me unless you say I can.
Your information
What you send is read by me and used only to run this. Your mailing address is used to post a ticket and a portrait and for nothing else; your email only to reach you about a portrait; your TikTok username only so I can find you. The addresses of everyone not chosen are deleted once the fifth ticket has been redeemed. I do not add you to any mailing list, and I do not sell or hand your information to anyone.
Taxes and the like
Any tax owed on receiving a portrait is the responsibility of the person who receives it.
The rest
I am not responsible for notes that never reach me, for lost mail once a portrait has been posted, or for anything outside my control. By sending a note you agree to these terms. I may change them; the version shown here on the day you send your note is the one that applies to you.
